This pillow can be made in any size. Measure the size of your pillow and
chain enough to reach the length.
My pillow was a 12×12, so I chained 51 and that measured 12”. After that just make enough rows to match the height. Keep in mind that if you decide to make the pillowcase bigger you will need a bigger insert and more yarn than what the pattern calls for.
Pattern
With your first color CH 51
Row 1: HDC on third chain from the hook and all the way across (49)
Row 2: CH 1 turn. HDC on BLO all the way across (49)
Repeat row 2 until you have 29 rows or your panel measures 12 inches tall
Back panel
With your second color Repeat the same pattern for front panel.
Construction
The right and wrong side of the panels look the same, so it doesn’t really matter what side you choose when sewing the project together just make sure your rows look vertical.
Place the first panel on top of the second one and SC them together making 3 SC on each corner of the square. Starting on one corner and working your way around the other side of the pillow leaving the top open.
Tassels
You will need 8 tassels in total for this pillow, click here to learn how to make tassels without a tassel maker.
Once you have your 8 tassels made, place 4 of them in each side of the pillow leaving about 3 inches free between each tassel.
Get your tassel and with your hook pull the strands trough the inside of the pillow cover.
Tie your tassels from the inside and weave the ends.
You should end up with something like this after you tie all your tassels.
Now you can insert the pillow insert and close it with a SC.
Now you are all done!! I hope you loved making this pillow as much as I did.
