I asked you guys if you wanted me to write this Halloween striped crochet mug rug pattern for you, and most of you said YES! So here it is!
This mug rug was inspired by all the modern Halloween decor that I have seen lately in the stores. If you want to learn how to make this quick Halloween decor project just keep reading!

HDC- half double crochet
STS- stitches
Supplies
worsted weight yarn in color black and white I used Red Heart With Love in the colors white and black .
5.00 mm crochet hook
yarn needle
scissors
Finished size
6.5 inches long, 5 inches tall
Notes
- The chain 2 does not count as a stitch
- You don’t need a specific amount of stitches for this pattern and you can easily make it into a place mat or table runner!
Pattern
with white color
Chain 20
Round 1: HDC in the third chain from hook and across, CH 2 turn (18 STS)
Round 2: HDC across, CH 2 turn (18 STS)
Change to black color
Rounds: 3-4 repeat round 2 (18 STS)
Change to white color
Rounds: 5-6 repeat round 2 (18 STS)
change to black color
Rounds: 7-8 repeat round 2 (18 STS)
change to white color
Rounds: 9-10 repeat round 2 (18 STS)
change to black color
Rounds: 11-12 repeat round 2 (18 STS)
change to white
Rounds: 13-14 repeat round 2 (18 STS)
Fringe
Cut 16(white) and 16(black) strands of yarn about 5’’ long. Each side has 8 sets of fringe. You will use two strands for each set of fringe. Tie the strands evenly on each of the mug rug. trim fringe at the end
