Hello friends! Welcome back to my blog! Today I have for you the Roseate Cross-body Bag. This bag has been on my crochet pattern vault for over a year, and I was finally able to write it down for you guys.
I think this bag is perfect for summer; it’s not too big, and you can easily fit your wallet and keys in it.

Cord & tassels
Cut 6 strands 36 inches long, leave 4 inches and tie them together with a knot.
Now separate the strands into sets of 2 and braid them together.
When you reach the end leave another 4 inches unbraided and tie another knot.
Now we are going to add more strands to our tassel. cut 16 strands about 10″ long you will need 8 for each side of the cord.
click on the video below to learn how to add the tassels to the cord.
place 1 strand across and place 3 strands on top about half way making a cross.
Now place the cord on top of the bottom half of the 3 previous strands.
Place 3 more strands on top of the cord.
Now tie all of them together with the back strand.
Bring all the strands down.
And finally use the last strand to tie a knot again like a normal tassel. Trim the fringe and repeat again for the other side of the cord.
Once you added more strands to both of your tassels you are ready to insert it trough the holes on your bag that were made on round 23.
And now you will just clip the purse strap to the sides of the bag and you are done!
If you don’t have a purse strap you can make one using the same method we used to make the cord for the purse just make the strands longer and tie them to the sides of your bag.
Here is a roseate bag from one of my crochet testers @missmimi_shop I love the fun colors she used for her bag!
