The other day I was looking for one of my mug rugs and could not remember where I left it! I was looking everywhere in my “craft room” and there it was! One of my crochet pumpkins was placed on top of it. I thought to myself that actually looks cute, so I decided to modify my Boho Mug Rug pattern and make it into a harvest pumpkin mat! Is that a thing? I think so and if not it should be! Shout out to my girl Shanice from Crochetastic designs for helping me out with the name!
This is a quick and easy project just in time for the fall season, so if you want to learn how to make this Harvest Pumpkin Mat just keep scrolling!

Size
my mat measured 13 inches long and 8 inches wide.
If you want to make your mat wider just make a longer starting chain, make sure that it is an even number. For a longer mat just continue making more rows until you get the desired length.
Abbreviations
CH- chain
HDC- half double crochet
DC- double crochet ST- stitch
STS- stitches
Pattern

Row 3: CH 1. HDC across including the chain 1 space. Make your last HDC on top of the CH 2 of the previous round. (31 STS total)

Row 26: repeat row 2
Row 27: repeat row 3
Tie off and start on the fringe.
Fringe
Cut 64 strands of yarn about 10’’ long. Each side has about 16 sets of fringe. You will use two strands for each set of fringe. Tie the strands evenly on each side and trim fringe at the end. I skipped every other stitch for the fringe but you can place them in every stitch if you desire.
