Hello, fellow crocheters! As promised, I wrote down the pattern for the Velvet Version of the Tender Twist Headband. I got to say I love it more than I thought I would! Velvet yarn is super popular right now, but I was a little skeptical about a velvet headband. Well, my friends, surprisingly this headband stays on pretty well, and it looks gorgeous! If you guys haven’t had a chance to use velvet yarn, what are you waiting for? You are missing out!

5 mm crochet hook
Scissors

Notes
- to make this pattern in other sizes just make a chain the size of the band size in the size chart below.
Here is a helpful size chart for you guys in case you want to make it in other sizes!
- Chain 3 counts as a stitch for this pattern
- You will work in continuous rounds
Pattern
I made mine in a large size (I have a big Head!)
CH 52
Slip stitch to the first chain to close. Make sure not to twist the chain.
Round 1: CH 3. DC all the way around. When you get to the end do not slip stitch to chain 3.
Round 2: Twist the left side of the headband down (this is what will make your headband twist). Make a DC on that side and place a stitch marker there. Continue to DC around until you reach the stitch marker.
Note: Before reaching your stitch marker, there will be a chain 3 from the previous round. Continue to go around and place a DC on top of that chain 3
Round 3: When you reach the stitch marker, make a DC there and replace the stitch marker. Continue to DC around until you have two stitches left before the stitch marker. Make a HDC on the next ST, SC on the next, SS to the stitch where the marker is on. (this will make the finish even) Tie off and weave ends.
Now you are all done! your headband should look something like this!
