I had some people ask me what is my favorite yarn to work with, so I decided to write a blog post about my top 5 yarns that I love working with. There are SO many yarn companies out there but I decided to boil it down to the ones that I tend to use the most, I hope this helps you out to decide what yarn to use for your next project!
Here are the top 5 yarns that I used this year. Of course I have used more than 5, but these are the ones I used the most trough out the year.

1) comfy cotton blend by lion brand
I used this yarn for my summer lovin’ cardi pattern and I fell in love with it from day one! This yarn has great drape and it feels nice when wearing it. This is a 50% cotton and 50% polyester blend making it perfect for tops, shrugs and, shawls. Keep in mind that this yarn does tend to split when crocheting, but if you are careful with it that shouldn’t be a huge problem.
2) Red heart ( with love)
I love the red heart yarn, but not just the original Super Saver. I recommend getting the red heart with love, or the red heart soft. I find that the super saver is not as soft as the other ones and it feels a little scratchy, but if you don’t mind that, the super saver is a great inexpensive option for you! I mostly use this yarn for hats and scarfs, but you can use it however you find fit.
3) lily’s sugar n cream
This cotton yarn is my go-to for dishcloths, washcloths, and scrubbies. It is specifically designed for that, so I would not recommend using this yarn for garments or anything that you would wear.
4) Mandala yarn by lion brand
I love the way this yarn changes colors as you make progress on your project, and the best part is that you don’t have to worry about changing colors! isn’t that awesome? They also have the mandala baby and the mandala ombre yarn. I used the mandala ombre for my snowy bootie cuffs and snowy slouch beanie!
5) Hobby Lobby’s I love this cotton
If you are looking for a soft cotton yarn this one is for you! This one is great for baby garments and lightweight projects for the summertime. It comes in so many beautiful colors and you can make pretty much anything with it.
